Reg Shore is the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for the Lincoln Constituency. Reg was born and raised on a Council estate in Stoke on Trent, the second eldest of four children. Educated at Blurton High School before attending Art College in the city and then teacher training at Padgate College of Higher Education in Warrington; receiving subsequent certification from the University of Manchester. He first taught in Blackpool before promotions to Chesterfield and Gainsborough, where he is now the Director of the Performing Arts Faculty and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at the Trent Valley Academy in the town. He married Heather in 2000.

Reg was first elected to West Lindsey District Council in 1999 where he rose to become leader of the Liberal Democrat Group and subsequently Leader of West Lindsey District Council where amongst his many successes he brought considerable economic rejuvenation; created a strategic approach to Council functioning through his RHINO thrust; developed partnership working across Lincolnshire; fought for now attained Growth Status for Gainsborough; launched Streetforce; revitalized customer services; expanded the range of recycling; introduced Lean Systems Thinking in planning and successfully dealt with a flooding crisis and an earthquake!
Amongst his many achievements, Reg has nurtured several internationally recognized actors, led a successful theatre company, taken productions to Europe and success at the Edinburgh Festival and achieving three National Awards; he led his school to Arts College Specialist status success three times and has attained Arts Mark Gold on four separate occasions; Reg has been recognized by Ofsted as being an excellent teacher. Reg lives in a village just outside Lincoln.
He lists among his many hobbies; playing the guitar, writing, listening to music, caravanning, walking, swimming and going to the gym, cooking for friends, reading, politics, gardening, theatre and the Arts. He wants to learn to sail.
